The much-predicted epic snow storm for SoNE today turned out to be a bust. Nat'l Weather Service last night was predicting a foot of snow for today here. So far, as of 6:45 pm, we've had no accumulation at all.
So Annie and I were at our local pub tonight (how often have I said that here?), and I said to a good female bar-friend "what a bust!" She feigned anger, pretended to slap my face, and then laughed (thankfully).
Looks like the guy who holds Marion Barrys old council seat has some extra insincere apologies to make to the Rothschild family.
I only had to dig out one bus.
Not a bust for us, this is the only decent storm we have had all season. Almost 11" when I measured mid afternoon, and co worker reported over a foot closer to work first thing this morning. I left work at lunch yesterday and haven't been back since. It's great, except my whole day has been dedicated to heavy, wet snow removal. My dad is out of town this week, so I got to play with his tractor at my parents' place, but shoveling my entire driveway sucked big time. Should have bought a snowblower like I said I would after the last time I put myself through this

New York closed schools today and all my co-workers stayed home. I think they popped off early, as tomorrow will probably be the worse day for commuting.
14" here in Waynesboro,Pa. Off work last 2 days,I drive a big truck to Balt. Md. Didn't want to take a chance. Got the snowblower out and cleared the driveway.
biggest storm we have had all year. 8 inches so far at the southern Jersey Shore and still snowing.
We had no snow at home then this morning I woke up to a solid six inches and got berkeleyed for three hours getting back to work. At one point I was nearing the top of a mile long hill and had to stop for deer in the road. It was too steep and slick to start moving again so I ended up going back to the bottom and starting over.

It was, and they are usually easy enough to clear with a little digging and a couple bags of salt.

We got somewhere around 6 inches here in northern DE.

In nicely 50-100 miles from any of Toby. That one last week or so only dropped 2 or 3 inches here. With this luck I should buy a lotto ticket.

It was sunny and 45, with not a flake in the sky here in Central New York. But, I think we earned it, considering that Redfield, NY has gotten 300" inches of total snowfall this winter.

I know all about snow. 21 years with NYCDS.

Ask yourself this about the forecasters: Which way do you want them to be wrong? Better to get nothing when you expected a foot, than the other way around. Unless you own a new snowmobile or a ski area, of course

Are you guys actually complaining that the huge storm didn't come?
After all of the storms we've gotten recently, I'll take it. I can't wrench in the stupid mud and snow!
I hate this e36m3. The only thing that got BUSTed, was my you know whats. 12 inches or better here.
Ok. I opened myself up, have a go.
I'm happy the snow didn't get here.

Not complaining at all. Actually, waking up this morning it looked pretty bad, and I thought the meteorologists were off by 24 hours. But again, it was a bust, and the sun was out by 11:00 am. I'm very happy because I'm ready for Spring.
