It sounds like we have similar tastes. I just can't get behind IPAs. Right now all I have in the fridge is a partial 12-pack of Dingel Acker Dark (Compliments of Osterizer) and a six-pack of Yuengling Lager, my standby. I usually get "good" beer as singles... they don't last long.

Coffee.

I am a champagne guy myself, but currently dringing watered down decaf coffee with a single packet of Splenda.

I'm a beer whore. I like a little bit of everything. My "out somewhere" beer is typically Blue Moon with a slice of orange. At home though, I've been enjoying a PA brew from Straub's. Not as filling as the Yuengling lager I used to drink and nicely inexpensive while still providing a good, non-bitter taste. For large consumption, you can't beat Lion's Head. Less than $15 a case and a taste you find yourself saying "that's actually not bad!".

I'm a rum guy- Bacardi Select is my favorite. Occaisionally one of my Caribbean customers will bring a bottle up for me. Have a half bottle of Wray and Nephew White Overproof rum (120 proof!) from a Jamaican that tastes like laquer thinner.

Smithwick's (and pronounced properly too).

When I was a little boy in Kilkenny, we lived near the abby where this stuff was made. The Smithwicks family is indirectly related to mine.

I have two cases of Baritt's Ginger Beer being delivered to me by a friend who is coming home from Annapolis, MD. That means i will be enjoying the National Drink of Bremuda; The Dark 'n' Stormy.

How is Straub's? A friend of mine talks about it sometimes and i've been very curious about their Special Dark since I tend to gravitate towards the darker brews. Lion's Head is party and lots of people beer with my friends and I. If you are looking for a decent affordable/cheapie beer, I'd recommend Lacrosse Lager. It's usually around $13-$14 for a 30 pack of cans.

Bermuda Ginger beer? Gotta look for that. Real Jamaican ginger beer is quite good, with a serious bite. Look forward to find some of that Bermuda stuff and diluting it with some rum!!
