I learned that one of my college acquaintances did a thing.
It's been a generally melancholy sort of week, so At The Bottom by Brand New seems somewhat appropriate.

GO TRIBE!!!!!! ...... astros n Rsox here in H'town .....Chief Wahoo rules!!!!!!
If you've ever wondered what Jesse Lacey would sound like with trap beats, this is sort-of it. It samples Brand New's The No Seatbelt Song.
Jackyl...happened to have a flashback from 1998 when they set a World Record for 100 shows in 50 days. Saw them in the parking lot at Manifest Records in Columbia, SC. Their stage was a flatbed 18 wheeler...I think this video has the same setup, but it's not the show I saw...

For the past four and a half hours, I've been listening to the live band that's been playing in my neighbor's back yard. It's great if you want to hear it, but not so great if you don't.

Daft Punk - Doin' it right
This song is blowing my mind right now...simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
Another Doors song:
One of my favorite Doors songs. They were great. How can anyone dispute their talent?
Another of my favorite performers from the late sixties / early seventies, Gram Parsons
He was one of the early creators of the country-rock genre. Unfortunately, Gram has been gone since 1973, and his music is somewhat obscure. For a while there was an annual celebration of his music in the California desert near Joshua Tree called Gram Fest.
(Remember The Flying Burrito Brothers? That was Gram Parsons).
