Oh, I like Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Something I discovered this past weekend has been haunting me. A band named Lake Side Dive.

This is the best thing I've heard in quite some time.

So much modern music is terrible but Lake Side Drive sounds great, thanks for the share
Gary said:Secretarita, My Man, I know you posted a great rendition of this song earlier, but this version is my particular fave. So this video doesn't go all the way to completion, but I think I'd like to have been there to experience it regardless.
Yeah, that looked like a good time! So many experiences we miss due to making a living...but Madam Secretari..ata & I have managed to have some great times with less famous or infamous (depending) musicians. As an example, we are going to see Sunny Jim White next spring and we've seen him so many times over the past 20 years that he knows us, my inlaws, my sister. and several couples that we usually hang out with and knows the relationships between us. Goodness, looking at some of his latest videos his hair has turned grey and his kids are now out of college...hope I've aged better (probably not!). One of my personal favorites of his, but probably not the best version...
It's a pod cast chronicaling organized crime in the Northeast (primarily Providence, RI) from the sixties through the eighties. I lived in RI in the era and know all the players, and have a distant connection with some of them. Actually, I think everyone in RI had a distant connection with at least one of them. They all had great nick names. Yesterday "Bobo" Marrapese died while serving time. He was an "enforcer" (translation - hit man) for the Patriarca family. I worked with his niece Lisa in the eighties, but not in the "business." And a guy I worked for in the nineties was in a street drag race in East Providence in the sixties with Raymond Patriarca's son ("Junior") ... Stingray vs. Tasca Cobra. And I bought my first car in 1966, a '61 Sunbeam Alpine from another mob associate (name not disclosed in my best interest, although the first name is Nick, and the last name ends in a vowel), although I didn't know it at the time. Annie's cousin was an FBI agent in the Providence office, and in the nineties he was involved in bringing Raymond Jr. to justice (but not for the illicit street race). In fact, Annie was in Chicago on a business trip, and her cousin's picture was on page one of USA Today escorting Raymond Jr. to Federal Court in Providence for indictment. And more recently, one of our friends at our local pub is a retired RI State Police detective who spent many years in the organized crime unit, and we have spent many hours discussing this fascinating topic and all the players. So it was called The Family, The Mafia ... or La Cosa Nostra ... and it violently ruled RI and the entire Northeast in the latter half of the 20th century, and it definitely had a lasting effect, even in state politics. Crimetown is a very interesting podcast series. Watch it. It's free.
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Pretty good amateur production of this classic.

Thank you. I needed that this evening. If i hear Rudolf one more time....
Some old Bing Crosby radio shows. I’m still trying to improve my Christmas spirit while I work on something for The Wife.
Bill Goudy - Outdoor Adventure
I really like Bill Goudy. He's a great YouTube performer. This particular performance is from a few years ago, but extremely entertaining nevertheless. Unfortunately, Bill Goudy's friend "Bulldog Bill" is no longer with us, but Bill Goudy sure is, and continues to post on YouTube. If you're into camping, touring, and cooking over an open campfire, I urge you to check out Bill Goudy. Very entertaining!
It looks like great fun in Southeastern Iowa along the Mississippi River.
Unfortunately, as I said previously, the guy who caught the huge catfish for this video ... "Bulldog Bill" ... is no longer with us.
I happen to like Eddie. And I like this song. You just have to make it through the first couple minutes or so of blah, blah, blah, and it's pretty good ... except for the bizarre white robe routine at the end. Funny, I didn't like Bob Dylan's version of this song, but I've liked just about every cover of it over the past fifty years. Maybe because I just don't like Dylan.
