Annie and I were at our local pub "Bill's Place" tonight, and Kim Holly, our favorite bartender, had Classic Vinyl on. This song came on and we loved it.

I will never disparage Bruce because of his politics
because he is fantastic
Pretty much a parody of the original Scorpians ... but at least we still have Klaus Meine in lead vocal. Good song.
I picked up a free 4 CD set of the Last Waltz several years ago that I'm going to pass on to a friend. I've seen a chunk of the concert on TV before but only now listened to this set. Not bad. Love my fellow Ulsterman Van Morrison of course.
In reply to Karl La Follette :
Those wheels are rad, but wtf is the rest of the picture? From this angle it looks like a shotgun marriage between a Devin and a Jensen Healey. I like it.

The whole show was on prime, and is on YouTube. Definitely worth watching
Chris Joss is a French composer and musician who does super cool funky stuff. Kind of like a modern Lalo Schiffrin. Awesome stuff.
Hello from Palm Springs, CA. So Annie and I are here for a couple of weeks. There are a lot of western Canadians here (i.e., Vancouver, BC). Not that there's anything wrong with that. Great people. We love our neighbors to the north. The good thing is that they've introduced us to new Canadian music, for us anyway. And it's pretty good. Barney Bentall is one of them. Apparently he's a pretty good artist from a prosperous family that considers him an outcast. Wow, I never knew. They tell me he's the Bruce Springsteen of Canada. Well ... I would dispute that. But I'm a diplomat, and would never consider creating an international incident over a musical artist.
Another recommendation from our friends from Vancouver. Pretty good artists. Why haven't they made mainstream media in the USA? Good Q. Probably not the right lobbyists.
Alexisonfire released a new single yesterday and it's been on repeat since I first heard it.
I've been listening to the various "Person of Interest" soundtracks. I like this guy Ramin Djawadi--not as much as Hans Zimmer but he's good. Also wrote the music for Game of Thrones and the Westworld reboot.
I showed up for the rally themed 80's Escort with box flares, but stayed for the groove
Apparently they're raffling the car off right now for charity too...
