Russ Freeman: East River Drive
Jethro Tull: Bungle in the Jungle
Last week the media was talking about the 1974 Ali - Foreman "Rumble in the Jungle" fight in Zaire, and this song has been on my head ever since. I love Ian Anderson's music.

Well, I'm glad you enjoy it. Not a style that turns my crank....."sludge metal", who knew it was even a thing.
(I know lawn, bah humbug, etc. yeah yeah yeah)
This makes me laugh though and will distract me for a few minutes.

Scott Hamilton: Isn't It a Pity
Not the Olympic skater, this Scott Hamilton is the jazz tenor sax musician from RI, now living in London, I think. But I've seen him perform live many times locally in RI over the past forty years, and in my opinion is one of the great contemporary jazz tenor sax artists.
It's a beautiful June evening here in Southern New England. Annie and I are on the deck sipping Bordeaux and listening to smooth jazz. Life is good.

This is HILARIOUS.
Pink Floyd: Shine On You Crazy Diamond
You really have to listen to the whole thing to appreciate their talent.
David Gilmour: Shine On You Crazy Diamond
This is him more recently, but the same talent as in the seventies.

Because Tuesday.
Volvo needs some maintenance and is getting new shoes tomorrow so it is riding jackstands right now. So I have activated Akuma back into commuting duties.

Not sure if the radio is broken or I just can't hear it over the leaky old rusted-out Racing Beat exhaust so this is all I am listening to. (And yes I deliberately get it brap-happy in traffic and on the highway because WOULDN'T YOU? I mean, jeez, I have a pulse!)

I've heard that term before, but didn't realize it applied to them.
I don't know, I heard it and I liked it. I'll go see the show.
Dexter Gordon: Autumn in New York
It's a lazy summer afternoon. I'm sitting on my deck in the shade drinking a Saranac Gen IV Session IPA and listening to jazz. Tomorrow I'll go to the vintage races at Thompson. Great weather predicted for the entire weekend. Life is pretty damn good.
I was in a 90s rap mood for a few weeks, then switched to some grunge and alternative stuff for a while. After that I moved on to EDM stuff for about a month. Now Im getting back to some pretty dark metalhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/qc98u-eGzlc
Right now, Safe and Sound by Capital Cities.. enjoying it more than I probably should.
