Could be worse.
Every time I see a Pacer, I'm surprised at how much less bad they look now. I think the tall window fashion of the 90's made them a lot more acceptable.

I'd say the AMC Eagle was really the grand-dad of the whole cross-over craze. It hatched too soon, although it was a financial success in it's day.
That right angle body line is hard to look at. I don't mind the rest of the car, but that's just akward.
I really like the proportions of these/Gremlins, it's just some of the body panels I have a hard time liking.

Lots of glass in the rear cargo area to better see the giant motor you will put there!
Bonus points if you can route the exhaust to the fuel door and make it one of those flappy diesel exhaust things.
This might be the first time in history I say I prefer the looks of of the 2 door coupe to a 2 door wagon.
