An enormous building on the side of our 2 acre lot. Ostensibly as a way to move my wife's business out of a rented space and into one we own over the course of years, but in reality just as a way to have a warehouse for the orphan mechanical projects I seem to enjoy.

Do you have any links for building these?

http://castcnc.com/

I met the guy who started that site/business on a metal casting forum...hes pretty awesome. That site shows a few builds and the like.

Go to founddreaming.com/forum. His name is Harry - sign up and hit him up for more info...tell him 4cf sent ya (not sure if that will help or hurt you ). Theres a separate CNC forum that goes waaay more in depth than his site, but you gotta pay for membership.

Well, the BMX days are long behind me. I have two geard road bikes and a full-suspension mountain bike. The singlespeed road bike will be to putt around my neighborhood for quick rides.

I build speakers, but I would probably quit if I had a pair of Martin Logan hybrid electrostats.

When we were talking about building a log home with loft, I wanted a fireman's pole to get from the loft to the bottom floor. The wife didn't share my enthusiasm.

Not terribly ridiculous as I do ride a lot, but somehow 8-10K for a bicycle still seems loony. OTOH, there's an old, one room church that's been for sale for YEARS a couple miles from my place - they want to sell and move the building off the land. It would make a great studio in my backyard. ya know, if I painted, or wrote, or any kind of crap that NEEDED a studio...

Neighborhood churches sometimes come up for sale in my area, and I've always wanted to live in one. They usually have all sorts of cool side rooms and stuff. And think of the giant indoor garage (also known as the worship area)

Fireman pole for a man. Stripper pole for a woman. Sounds like a win win.

An ST205 Celica GT4.

But... i guess that's not that ridiculous?

If it wasn't allowed to be automotive related, i suppose it would be some ridiculous stereo gear. I like NAIM and Electrocompaniet.

I'd like a nice Curta Type I, as a companion to my Type II.

They are just about the only thing that I have ever cared about from a collector's standpoint.

For some reason I have never been all that impressed with the electrostats I've heard. Could be because I was A/Bing them with B&W Nautilus' though.

Can you post that website/forum for homebuilding speakers again?

I hope you'd only listed to vinyl and CD's on those. What a waste to play mp3's through those masterpieces (and I'm not an audiophile--just a musician).
