Okay so its not a what car thread, but it's close. I have been given a 1987 Chevy S10, 4 speed, 2.5L Iron Duke 4, and heat. I want to buy an E30, and I have done the research, and know what I want(325is), but I can't buy the bimmer till I finish my eagle project. So should I go and make the S10 better (working radio, interior lights, performance upgrades) or should I just wait and save the money for the E30? ( oh yeah I have $5000)

I may not be the best person to answer this... $5000.00 will buy one hell of a lot of E30. Why do you need an S10?

You have 5K now? Have you looked on CL at E30 prices?

Do you want to keep the S10, or flip it?

How much estimated $ on the eagle project needed to finish?

Flog the S-10 and chase parts with it as God intended; save you $$$ for the real cars.

I'm with Quasi, $5000? Here's my $400 track car, Auto-Xer. Spending ten times that, I can't even imagine.

I'm going to 2nd 914driver. A pickup is always nice to have around and $5k is plenty enough to get an E30. You could probably get an E36 for that too if you wanted.

Keep the S10 as a daily driver, and turn the BMW into a spec racer. You'll need a reliable car to get you back and forth while you wrench on other projects anyway.

You can never have too many vehicles.

Thanks for the advice, yeah I like the idea of keeping the truck as a DD
