I think they are still having a pretty severe shortage of test kits. They are Yelimiting the tests to the people that show the worst symptoms.

Yes I was suprised when we got up there I told them to just test me because if I have it then he does.  They said they could test us both and it wasn't a big deal.  Well until our temp wasn't high enough.  I was still just going to test one of us.

Hope you don't end up feeling worse. If in doubt I'd probably stay home for a few days at least.

We are definitely staying home. I'm coming up with a small grocery list that the ex is going to pick up. What are the odds you run out of shampoo the first morning you're sick?

Take good care of you and Lil Stampie!   Thoughts with you guys as I’m at home with my 9 and 11 year old boys now.

Shared custody is a concern I never thought about in all this. I'd imagine that there are people who are not seeing their kids right now :(

Did they say what exactly a temp  high enough would be?

The threshold here is 99.6. We are self quarantined now. From talking to others we might show more temp over the next few days. I'll keep y'all updated.

because it might have been skipped on the first page.

Hang in there, y'all

The numbers I've hears are over 101. This virus comes with a pretty high fever.

100.4F, except for the elderly, 99.x for them.  They tend to have lower fevers than the young.

Yeah we're pretty cool right now.  I'll talk to her later but I think she'll be ok with she gets her days back once this is over.  I'm sure there will be some video calls made.

The good news is, you'll have some more time to make the lightest battery tie-down known to mankind.

Also, I looked at Publix and shipping root beer to y'all as a 'gag' gift... so, I think they do deliveries.  Might be something to look in to.

Finally, I assume you'll have plenty of people to connect with virtually... but, if you run out, I can handle a couple different video-interface formats if you need.

Take plenty of hot showers as well, as in 2-4x a day. The virus and lower congestion both aren't fans of humidity and it'll assist with drainage. Peppermint oil into your palms, washclothe or back of your wrist (with everything clean of course) and place your face into and breathe for 20-30 seconds will help open up air passages, it's therapic, not any damn cure, bit as long as everything is clean, it'll help with any breathing issues.

Not in a gay way. In a prison kinda way.

Clippers are like $30 and you'll never have to pay for a haircut again.

Thanks, I hope so also.  We're not hurting.  Lil Stampie says he feels a lot better this afternoon.  I'm slightly worse but I'd put it on a 3 out of 10 on the suck scale.  We're hydrating and I've put up the whiskey for the duration.

My wife told me (and she is worried about the virus) that she did a deep dive on the internet and found that early symptoms of the virus are high fever and dry cough. If you have a runny nose or whatnot, it's not the big one.

Take that with a grain of salt, but perhaps 'Lil Stampie's tissue usage failure might be a hopeful sign.

Edit: I read about your good follicles and my brain thought "in my youth I had the follicles of a god."

I nominate "Follicles of the Gods" as a band name.

I worry with a 101 or 99.something temp being the cutoff that when I get sick no one will take it seriously.

I run 94.5 ish degrees normally because I'm apparently a genetic freak. A 5-7 degree temperature is way more than I want to have happening to me for help

I figured I'd give some background of how I think this happened so others can learn.  I work Sunday-Thursday with the same people.  Because of my job I'm not normally around my coworkers but I am in customers homes.  We do have some jobs where two of us are in the house doing different jobs at the same time.  A week ago Sunday a coworker called out because of coughing and not feeling well.  He didn't have a fever so he came back that Monday.  My first job that Monday was working with him.  At that point we really hadn't started the social distancing thing so I was in close proximity with him for a couple of hours.  I didn't think anything about it until this morning when I called out.  Only when I asked if our company had anything set up for us to be tested was I told that he was tested yesterday and maybe he could fill me in on the process.  So I'm assuming I picked it up from him.  So if you are sick stay away from others.  Even if you don't think it's Covid-19.  I don't blame him because at that time he was following what people thought.  I think yesterday I'm was he was last week.

My current fever is 99.7 so just over the line.  Lil Stampie is 98.4 so he's under.  I'm probably going to use my coworkers results as a sign if I have it or not.  He should get his results Wednesday - Friday.  The dry cough vs. runny nose thing above might be true.  What we've experienced is a quick onset of runny nose then it goes away leaving a dry cough.  Anyway this thread is about the process so that's why I'm sharing all this.  Also a mistake I made was I planned on meals for me for two weeks.  I only planned on him for a week.  I don't know why I didn't think about us both being stuck together but the ex got stuff so that we should be good to go.

Situations and what we know is changing quickly and whomever it was gotten from, when unintentional, is in the same fight.  Less than two weeks ago we were, as a populus, being encouraged to cough into our elbows, and the bump elbows as a greeting. Guess where your mouth goes when coughing when following that procedure?

You've got the right outlook on things, stay strong, you have my number to call or text as needed.
