For a long time growing up, the solos in Metallica's One were my favorite.

Also like the solo in Sweet Child O' Mine.

Yep. Every once in awhile I'll get on a Dire Straights kick and try playing without a pick. It's hard.

I always liked Rude Mood AL DiMeola can rally play too, Race with the Devil is a bit busy, but he sure is fast. Like Santana on 78 speed.

Me too. Saw Max Webster at my High school in 76. Kim is very much an underrated guitarist.

"Underrated?" I'll bite. Having read tons of Guitar Player mag reviews back in the day and being pissed off with their "top" lists.

Neil Shon, and Elliot Easton immediately come to mind. If you can't/won't make a note "sing" then WTF are you doing?

Elliot Easton can play pretty much anything, I think. Helluva nice guy, too.
