Coming into work today, I have a feeling it's just gonna be a bad day.

Customer is coming back for the 5th time to try and resolve a TPMS Module fault
-
Lady, who was told was going to take $3-4K to fix her car, who denied all repairs, then approved, then started denying once parts started going on the car, is showing up with our loaner car that is smashed up
-
Gentleman, who dropped his S Type off about a month ago, is now coming to get it after we spent the last month, unsuccessfully, trying to reprogram his keys.
Just not looking forward to today.
A friend, legitimate not just colleague, from a former employer said that a colleague, who had barely started before my leave of absence occured, wanted my number to call me about something. I instructed him to provide my email. The colleague is likely an intermediary as the program chair is too chickenE36 M3 to ask anything of anyone directly, as they'd get a no from me regarding any assistance at this point and they feel that having someone else ask will get a more beneficial result. No, it won't, the answer will still be no and I'll also just highlight that the chair is a coward and shouldn't be in charge of a 7 figure a year program or making safety calls when they're incapable of basic communicatuon out of fear of rejection and try to underhandedly circumnavigate the situation. Be transparant and not a slimy bitch.
Well, so far, it is turning out to be better than expected.
I came into work determined to have a good day, but they are trying their damnedest to bring me down.
Best...berking...day...EVER.
The day started out crappy. Two days of frozen pizza will do that to you.

This is why I start every morning on the can. Starts crappy, and can only get better!
That was yesterday for me. I drank beer.
Today I feel much better
I'm having two impacted wisdom teeth removed.
I also have a 3 month with a cold
And our only working car has a sticking starter solenoid, the replacement should show up today, but I doubt I'll be able to fix it (see first line of post).
My FocusRS is still sitting in Newark at a MODcenter awaiting release/transport to the West Coast :/
In reply to Stefan (Not Bruce):
Good luck with the teeth. My last one was so bad at one point the doc had to climb over me to get a good grip on it while his lovely assistant pulled my forehead back. It came out in a few pieces and felt like the roots were wrapped around my eyes. He said if that didn't work things could get ugly.
I'm on vacation in a week if you need someone to spring you car and bring it out there.
I thought today was going to be a bad day knowing that my own co-worker who can't shut up went to a Trump Rally last night. I expected him to be gushing about to each and everyone of us.. making us all want to kill him...
He was surprisingly subdued today.

I just got all but one of my vehicles (3 cars and 2 motorcycles) back online. The MSM got new injectors and vacuum hoses (tired of finding cracked hoses one-at-a-time). The TR6 needed a new brake master. The old one lasted 18 years, so I'm not complaining. So overall a good day. Oh, work sucked, but I get my victories where I can and try not to let the other stuff I can't control get me down. When that doesn't work, there's beer.
Had 5 oil changes waiting in the parking lot before we opened. It didnt slow down until after 3. Throw in staying late too help the new kid change balljoints on his probe and its been a long day.
I submitted my letter of resignation this morning. Feels good not to give a E36 M3 anymore. In three weeks time I'll be on a jet kicking back and drinking a well deserved beer.
When you get a call for a leak behind a toilet, and you get there and realize the entire cast iron waste stack from the second floor is rotted to the point that there is a 3 foot long piece with only about 1/3 of the pipe still there. Then you realize there is a dirt crawlspace and a river of crap under the first floor bathroom. Turned out to be a bad 2 days with a real good paycheck. On the good side, I pulled out over 100 pounds of lead drainage pipe that I can use as ballast once its melted down and skimmed.

Tomorrow's Monday. We had about 600 leftover emails on Friday, so over the weekend we'll have about 800 new ones... Mondays always suck, but maybe we'll see some OT next weekend.
In reply to tr8todd:
You win. (tr8todd -- Mic drop into a pile of E36 M3.)
In reply to DukeOfUndersteer:
Great. You just reminded me about a BMW coming in with an electronic concern that never once acted up for us, then started acting up for him at 5pm on Friday, and he's quite upset since we did a bunch of other work and didn't fix his stereo, the implication being we should have, I dunno, fixed it for free because we were repairing a whole lot of other unrelated items.
At least he's not the Shiny Happy Person who had a drivability problem that we diagnosed, denied repair, then left a scathingly bad review on the referrals website because his check engine light was still on and it was still running poorly. WELL NO E36 M3, YOU DIDN'T WANT US TO FIX IT.
Ugh that still pisses me off.
In reply to Knurled:
Ugh. Sorry bout that... Hopefully today is gonna be a good day
Took a half day off on Friday to go away for the weekend. Sucked, get back last night turn on my work phone, 4 missed calls, 3 voice mails.....it was 4 freaking hours. Fffffuuuuu
It's going to be a bad day when I have to use my AK.

I find gaffer's tape has that effect on the politically over-enthusiastic of both parties.
It was hot yesterday and it's hovering around 100 degrees today, the high school made today a minimum day due to heat concerns. I don't have AC and work at home, but it's not too bad indoors.
All the tests I'm trying to do aren't being accepted due to system issues. We are quickly approaching crunch season and I'd like to clear my plate, not sitting around idle with work I'm unable to do.
Today was that day that I wasn't expecting to be bad, but turned out awful.
sorry to hear Duke. Chin up, tomorrow is a new day.
You have 100k in receivables over 30 and you have to make those calls. Some how it is my fault that you have not paid me. Yup this is going to go well.
