Trust me, he's not lying.  Some of the fasteners have holes in them to insert electric heating elements.  They're torqued hot and then contract more as they cool.  Others I remember were torque to "X "lb. ft. and then a slug wrench and hammer was used to continue to tighten "X" flats

What the heck are you working on then. This is for a main rotor assembly for a steam generator on a aircraft carrier at least according to the bill of materials we had for it. Failed to torque properly on install and had to be remade.
