I would expect new gasoline VWs to take a dump because VW, and more importantly, their dealers, are hurting for revenue. They've essentially lost 20% of their total sales volume. I was thinking huge discounts on gas cars would help move some metal and keep the cash flowing, but it appears I was wrong about that.

"Sales" are actually down 25%, though this doesn't say whether that is units or dollars.

And you'll note if the numbers above are actually close that the # of units pretty closely tracks the # of diesels they're not allowed to sell. So no real effect on non-diesel sales.
