History is written by the winners. As long as they lost it can be about whatever we want to teach the kids. Maybe they stuck the jelly knife in the peanut butter

And then tipped the bartender. That would shatter some stereotypes.

Heh, and every time I hear Skynyrd's The South's Gonna Do It Again I think to myself, "What, get your asses kicked down the block again?"

1863 was the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. That's what I was talking about. It was the beginning of the end for a way of life that ultimately would have destroyed the South had it continued.

And, again, Jam and Creme Cheese gets no mention, no respect....

You're not suggesting that the Emancipation Proclomation had anything to do with slavery are you? What kind of revisionist history is this?! Why, next you'll try to tell me that our Founding Fathers denied women the right to vote!
Oh, and HITLER said the South was right!

i don't think they specifically denied women the right to vote- they just didn't specifically say they could do it..
You're not suggesting that suffrage has anything to do with the right to vote are you?! It's a STATES RIGHTS issue! If Nevada doesn't want women to vote, who is the Federal Government to tell them they're wrong? Has nothing to do with women's rights! Where does it say in the Constitution that we have to let women vote? IT'S NOT IN THERE! Just a bunch of activist judges... and legislators saying we have to do it. If it was important, the founding fathers would have put it in there! Everyone knows that!
