Attention tourists,

If you are ever in the inland empire CA, you need to check out CNC motors. This is the wackiest used car dealership I have ever seen; the variety and pedigree of vehicles under one roof is mind boggling. It's not just a collection of really amazing cars, it is the best version of these vehicles.

CNC Motors

Just look at this Countach:

CNC are nice guys but they buy the very best of the best and expect 15% above market for there cars. Across the street is the creaver storage lot where I got my TBird and that has some mind blowing stuff as well from the 50-60's.

Jakes automotive is there as well, they bought my R8 and are just all around really good people. Jake will be getting my business when I finally pull the trigger on a v8 flying spur.

Not just exotic car dealerships, any car dealership. I usually get treated well (well dressed elderly man)but occasionally I get strange reactions to what I am looking at.

Best one was when I went to look at a Honda Fit when it first came out. Went in the showroom since I didn't see any on the lot. I was approached by a very polite young salesman and the conversation when like this:

Me: I wanted to look at a Honda Fit but I don't see any.
Him: Unfortunately we only have one available now.
Me: OK, Let's go look at it.
Him: (in an apologetic tone) But it has a manual transmission.
Me: That's OK, I know how to drive one.
Him: (same tone) But it is Red!
Me: (Laughing too much to reply)

Don't mind browsing, but I never pretend to be shopping for an exotic and the places I like to browse sell well used classics anyway. here's some pics from a few in LA. Don't recall even speaking with any employees. Was nice to look around, get to see some cars close up I don't usually get to look at;

If anyone ever finds themselves stuck in Springfield Ohio, take a little time to stroll through http://www.mershons.com/classic-corvettes/ they had ~20 early corvettes plus a ton of other interesting cars. When I stopped by there were a couple e type jags, tr-3, mgtd, gt350, and more.

I used to when I traveled a lot for work, especially to the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. They seem to be everywhere down there. Got to go to the old Barret-Jackson showroom in Scottsdale back in 2005. That was a nice treat. They had a green 66 GT350 in the showroom at the time and everyone was very nice.
