No way. Biblically, any woman on her period is unclean, and won't be taken in the rapture. Hell on Earth is populated by chicks on the rag!

Well, it's been two hours since all the Christians in Germany ascended to heaven. They must've been pretty quiet because I missed the whole thing. I think I was on the bog.

I'm still here, so yeah, god really does hate atheists after all. Who knew?

I don't feel bad for racing on Sunday.

I just like to go to church, so I have to make choices sometimes.

I don't do guilt very well.

OK doomsayers- nothing happened! What do you have to say for yourselves???

I'm listening, because you all were convinced it was going to happen, dummies!

I thought there weren't very many Christians left in Germany? Well, except for the old folks, of course.

SWMBO & I are still here as well, but we already knew we weren't going anywhere. Only evidence we had that the Rupture didn't occur was that her young son (IIRC, he's not of the "age of responsibility"-don't rightly remember what that actually is-I haven't been a Christian for more than 30yrs.) didn't vanish. Nice day trip to Chattanooga, TN today.

I was soaking in my hot tub when the Rapture was supposed to come.

If I'm going to be left below, I'm damn sure going to be comfortable.

Anyone ascend? What's it like?

I am not sure about Christian decline in Germany but I do remember something a few years back about less Jews.

In reply to gamby:

The man who got all this started needs to read his Bible more because it plainly states nobody knows the day nor hour. I just shake my head at these people. But you yourself are part of old Bible prophecy, please read 2 Peter 3-4. It may be a good idea to read on down to verse 9. And try to read in New King James version if possible.

To those GRMers who seem to enjoy belittling those of us who have our beliefs, how does it hurt you in any way and how can living within the Christian way hurt any human being at any time.

I suggest to you atheists that living a Christian lifestyle will make you a better person whether you believe or not.

Putting down another's beliefs makes you a very small person.

...and his beliefs were shown to have no validity.

If you go around getting a bunch of people in a tizzy saying "Jesus is coming back and the world is going to end!!!" and then nothing happens, then he has some 'splaining to do. Nothing happened. His faith was based on NOTHING.

Granted, the more "legit" branches of Christianity dismissed him, but I think the originator of all of this rapture crap needs to hang it up and accept that he knows nothing and believes in nothing.

Nope. His beliefs HAVE NOT been shown to have no validity.

His beliefs were based on the word of God. His obsession was based on his misinterpretations.

Harold Camping DID NOT originate "all of this rapture crap". It came from the Bible, and it still has not been proven wrong.

But his organization has $122 million in assets. Fruitcake or not, I think he is a great deal more successful than probably anybody on this board. His theology is dangerous (to people of faith), his business is pretty healthy.

No, Christians are still human and therefore sinners and still sin on a regular basis (at least I do unfortunately) - difference is we're forgiven and all of our sins have paid for by Jesus' death on the cross. Those who choose not to accept this free gift will have to try and "cover the cost" themselves when judged - unfortunately this is impossible (see Isaiah 64:6 and John 14:6 for starters).

That said, thanks to this prediction 6pm yesterday was the one time I was sure we wouldn't be getting raptured!

The fact that I'm typing this at the moment proves that he's a fraud.

Very sad that there are $122 million worth of people buying into said fraud.

I didn't say he wasn't a fraud- I've said he was all along.

I said the rapture is a Biblical concept, and that it is not fraudulent.

BTW- even if Camping HAD been correct, you would have likely still been typing. He didn't predict the end of the world for Mar. 21, he predicted the rapture. End of the world wasn't until October.

Can't say "Bible" and "validity" in the same context.

Anyone waiting for the Rapture on any date is no different from the Harry Potter fans waiting at King's Cross on 1 September 2017. They just picked a different work of fiction.
