They are all flash or java whatever based slow piles of crap that take for ever to load and make it painful to configure a car. They also rarely explain option packs or allow you to find information. Who do I have to shoot to get rid of these bloated sites? The weirdest thing; every manufactures site looks the same and is just as E36 M3ty!

The Suzuki site is lame (little info, too much stoopid commentary, not enough pics) and Scion's latest version is way too-slow to load - and accompanied with all the failings of the Zuk site.

Both the Chevrolet and Ford sites do nothing to provoke interest in their products, either......

There are many more, but I really don't want to visit them again to forward an opinion.......

because its the marketing side that wants to wow the morons with flashy crap rather than convincing cars.

the other day i was on my friend's iphone trying to find out engine specifications on a tacoma and the mobile version of the site had nothing i could find on the subject. worthless.

Slightly off-topic, but I stopped by the local BMW dealership the other day. All I wanted was a 1 series brouchure. I really just wanted to know the official BMW horespower figures and curb weights for the 128i and the 135i. The salesman went on about this long story of how BMW was working to save the environment by not printing brouchures anymore and that the bmwusa website is the official place to get info on their models. Why do manufacturers think that we are that stupid? Sure not wasting trees and not shipping a bunch of glossy brouchures all over the country saves energy and money, but unless they have dropped the sticker price of their cars due to the savings, they are doing it for one thing and one thing only and that is make more profit. I'm ok with that, that is afterall the job of a corporation, but don't treat me like I am stupid.

Yes car websites are not so good. I particularly dislike the lotus site, but for some reason I keep going back.

Apparently you haven't seen this one:

MINI website

I often think these websites are so bad because they aren't geared to give you info, but instead, to show you THE main features that set their car apart from someone else's. The Suzuki dealers in my area, there are 2 within 30 minutes drive, are about 1 step above a Daewoo showroom. That is, they are bigger than a phonebooth, just, and give every impression that they could be converted into a fast food joint in less than a day. Suzuki, unlike other brands, can't seem to track inventory, and the "packaging"/specs seem to change for no good reason.

I've tried Nissan's site and while it's okay, it has trouble breaking down available inventory into the order you were asked to sort it into. Example? I tried to find a Cube (or any vehicle) with a manual transmission. Nissan places more emphasis on the trim package than the drivetrain package, so if I want an "SL" Cube with manual trans. I get all "SL" trims...and the manual trans. is in there for you the viewer to find.

Ford and Dodge USED to have decent sites, but

Ford and Dodge USED to have decent sites, but then they went and "IMPROVED" them, about a year ago.

The M-B site used to have a "classic" section that featured several videos depicting their record cars in action. I used to love watching the footage of the C-III at Nardo--it lives now...only in my memories:(

My favorite is when i go to one of their sites and i cannot see the bottom half of the page on my netbook, it must be a real pain for them to install a scroll bar on their site.
