God bless America, I've been waiting for rush to come on Netflix for a month now. Why the berkeley isn't it on there yet?
The only press I could find on it stated a "late February" release or something.
Does anyone know what's up?
Sincerely,
Jonesing in MI
The process to get a movie on Netflix is odd - we tried to get Racing the Rock there, and man was it obstructive. Of course, things are different with a major release. It's probably studio politics, trying to pull as much profit out of DVD/BluRay sales as possible. I know I have my BluRay already

My memory is so bad. I thought it was on Netflix then thought it was on Amazon Prime. But I think I actually watched it in hotel when it was on free pay-per-view promotion.

Side note, does anyone know how I could get that movie in Italian or maybe Spanish? SWMBO has this cute little great aunt from Italy that absolutely loves F1. She'll set her alarm clock for 3 am to watch races live on the other side of the world and I bet she would love this movie. She doesn't speak a tid bit of english though.
In reply to Enyar:
Dubbed or subs? Italian .srt subs here http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/idmovie-147081/sublanguageid-ita
Or go to Amazon and search "Rush Italian".

The US release has a Spanish track as well as subtitles.
Rush isn't on Netflix because it's not a 15 year old B-Movie.
I think there was a recent posting here on GRM about online movies.
I will bet dollars to doughnuts that before the morning there will be another (or a dozen) more postings about the same.

dollar to doughnut would be a very fair trade at some doughnut place now a day.
Heck, Netflix still hasn't got Weekend of a Champion and it was made in 1972!
If you are hanging on Netflix looking for racing stuff with a couple hours to kill - check out "Faster" & "Fastest"
They are MotoGP documentaries voiced by Ewan McGregor featuring Rossi's rise to stardom and later his attempt to regain it after injury but with great series history with bits on Doohan, Schwantz, Rainey, Kenny Roberts and even a little Barry Sheene.
It gets you your $8 worth for this month

Which one of those shows McCoy doing the wicked tire burning, sliding it all over the track stuff?
In reply to z31maniac:
I think it might be the 1st one (Faster) because McCoy was winning races back around 2000 and that one is from '03.
I think the movie is worth a purchase, I can add it to Le Mans and Grand Prix. I think the film was deserving of some awards, but we all know how political it is....
At leas Netflix has Senna on it. It did anyway...
I will check out those two films- thanks GPSW!
There was a good movie on there about kids racing karts, the name escapes me right now.
We get our 8 bucks a month out Netflix via our kids- they watch the crap out it and it keeps them off of our TV!
Maybe I'll start looking for a used copy of Rush...

Yep, those are a good watch. "Charge" covers the all electric Isle of Man TT. Boys of Bonneville was another good one that crossed my path on there.
Red Box signed an agreement to get it first.
Ah ha, so they did!
And I see they have subscription for 8 samolians per month with online streaming available.
Is this the old bait and switch? Like netflix used to do, where there are three movies you can stream and they all suck?

Um, my Netflix copy just arrived Wednesday.
It's on Amazon. I just watched it for $6 in hd and it was worth every penny. Good flick.

I too watched it recently on Amazon. My wife even stayed awake for the whole thing, which is a glowing endorsement from her for this type of movie. I liked it.

I watched my Netflix copy Saturday night after a car show all day. She was out of town, so perfect timing.
I found it on Redbox and rented it on line. I got through the first half hour and had to stop due to kids, now I go back to finish it and it's expired. Sheesh.
When I saw the headline of this, I thought it was a canoe. LOL
But that being said, can't wait to see it.

Saw it on Redbox.
Personally, I don't think it did racing much justice. The images during the racing scenes were too quick. I was looking for Victory by Design style race scenes with no music except the engines.
It certainly played up the rivalry between the two and had boobies.
