Well, I tried but making it to the PO didn't happen. It'll be Monday.
Made it to the post office nice and early today so it is off to a lucky(?) GRMer!
Thanks again for putting in the time to organize this!
Heading to the post office today. Hope this isn't a problem:
... it wasn't until several years afterwards that we found out our GRM Secret Santa game was solely responsible for the shutdown for the USPS Flat Rate box program...
Sent mine out Wednesday so it won't get there till a bit late. What an excuse to internet stalk someone
Seriously random stuff in there!
Ok, this is pure speculation, but I'll bet a box of donuts that the single most popular item received is a piston of some sort. I cant imagination any GRM'r who doesn't have an extra piston within arms reach.
I thought about sending the broken piston from my Miata but I want to hold onto it for awhile. I just sent some boring hopefully useful stuff that I have too much of.
Box is shipped. I learned the post office ships enough dead people to have "Creamated Remains" stickers, and that my mail lady is too honest to be bribed into sticking them on a box.

Good to know.
Mine came in today. Do we have the thread for what we got?
My guy was pretty cool. And my box won't ship till Tuesday.

Looks like yours is the first to arrive. You can start a new thread for the contents.

It turns out that breakthroughs in flat rate boxes are NOT allowed :)
Box idea #2 going out in 3... 2... 1

I'm a little surprised it didn't turn into a contest to see how heavy you could make one of those boxes. I bet filling some of those boxes with lead would make them rethink their flat rate.
They must have gotten more strict in the flat rate boxes. I got a flat plate heat exchanger (heavy chunk of copper) a few years ago that came wrapped in a dissected small flat rate box.
