But not wife a ladder and gloves mind you, no, that would be a thorough job and why would anyone do that. Instead I came home from pulling parts at the junk yard to her telling me she was working outside via text. I'm sitting down and I see her out the window with 2 broom handles duct taped together, and a hook shaped implement duct taped to the end. Sorta looks like a 180 degree curved aluminum piece that you would use to clean the gutters with water.

Well she's using that to swat at the debris, small twigs, maybe some leaves that decided to jump into the gutter in the winter. All I hear outside is metal on metal clanking together. I know I'm going to have to rehang the gutter in 2 hours.

That rite there is funny. .. . And being married I can see that happening in my house. The real question is do you get involved or stand back and let her bask in the glory or her new found power.

You may want to infer that the lawn also will need mowing but weigh this carefully as sleeping on the couch for a while may be part of the equation. LOL

Doesn't matter, it'll be his fault either way if things go wrong.

Why isn't she on this forum? She sounds like one of us!

The gutters are clean enough. I cleaned them at the end of the fall, right before it got really cold. I can't think that the snow would impart that many leaves on them.

Also I had an issue with a couple of the gutters not being properly pitched, so I pulled the gutters and rehung about 60ft across the front of my house, some of the side as well. I need to do it in other areas, but my wife is scared about being 4 feet high off the ground, so I have to devise systems for getting the gutter off and not bending it in half. Last time luckily the A-frame step ladder was within inches of the bottom of the gutter, so I loosened all the screws in the middle except the 2 at the far ends. Then I went to the end that needed to be dropped, and rehung it where I wanted it. Then fixed the other end, then reattached all the screws in between. Took a couple of hours.

So what she decided is that you're cleaning the gutters.

This. It seems to me that cleaning gutters is an easier task than re-installing or repairing them.

An attitude like that could have a significant downward impact on your sex life.

In reply to SVreX: I never said that to her, I just thought it to myself.
