Our shop is open - we are working all day. Since I have 4 hours vacation to burn I am taking off this afternoon. Since we will be slow the boss is sending the crew home at noon.

I'm here all day, probably putting in 10-12 hours.
Working during the day. Used up all my use-or-lose vacation. Still have plenty of vacation time, just don't want to use it for this. Plus I had to come in to change my travel arrangements. Going to Philly area Wed. and the guy that was supposed to be going with me and had the rental car on his arrangements had something else come up and can't go. Had to come in to add a car to my arrangements. Should have that worked out soon and will probably call it a day when I get the arrangements.
Uggh. I need to go back to work. Ive been off since Dec 13th. PTO was my best friend.
Working today, well not really "working". I'm on Yelp, giving my recent review on how I was treated at Starbucks.
If the phones continue to not ring, we will go home in the next hour or two.
yep work until 6 tonight though it will be a slow day I am sure.

Yep, at work right now. We generally knock off half day on NYE, but that all depends on the boss' mood and how busy we are. I guess I'll see in an hour or so.

working here... I guess I don't see the big deal since I'm generally a 9 to 5er... plenty of time to go party tonight if that's your thing.
It would suck to work 2nd or 3rd shift tonight though.

Yep, only holidays I get are Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. Plus I get to do my end of month truck inventory after my route so I'll end up putting in at least 10 hours today. Oh yeah, I have to be up at 6am tomorrow too.
Yup, regular hours 7:30-6:00 today. Off tomorrow. Staying in tonight, it's Amateur Night and I do not want to be out with the drunk crazies.

Like the esteemed Mr Curmudgeon, we also do not go out on Amateur Night I just got through throwing all the ingredients in the crock pot for chili, wife will make some guac when she gets home from work, I'll make cornbread when are friends get here.
Just a small little get together with a dozen or so people.

Here all day. 7:30a - 5:30p. Absolutely slammed with oil changes and tire pressure lights on. People still don't understand how temperature effects tire pressures...
