Dude, this is a complete scam. Does he have it listed in Florida? I'd assume not.
I dont know if this goes for the leatherman brand or not but many name brands have import clones selling very cheap. They have the same boxes, same stamping, same catalog inside the box... And cheap metal.
If it looks to good to be true it probably is and that goes double for pocket knives and sunglasses
Don't do it, it can only end poorly. How much is shipping now days? It will probably cost 5 to 7 to ship. What your banking on is a guy selling a "legitimate" Leatherman being willing to take the time to e-mail, package, drive to post office, pay for postage, for a max total of MAYBE 5 dollars? I'm sorry, there is a slim chance I'd go answer a knock at the door and answer someone's stupid questions for $5. Not worth my time. Why would someone spend that time and real property for that. He could take it to a pawn shop and get 5 bucks, and that would save 90% of the work.
Scammers like this make money because "it is only 10 bucks, I'm OK losing 10 bucks if it is a scam." Do the same scam 100 times, 20% success = 200 bucks for very little work and 0 chance of getting any actual repercussions. Pays better than actually working some jobs.
X2 here, BTDT. Paypal or no sale in my book!
