An iTunes ad with Taylor Swift dancing around an apartment to "I believe in a thing called love" by The Darkness..
I hope they paid the band a whole berkeleyload of money to have their song associated with that worthless whiny creature..

I dunno. I would think an obscure gimmicky band from a decade ago would leap at the chance to be associated with a pop princess like her. I'm not a big fan of hers, but I imagine the downloads of "I believe in a thing called love" are exploding right now.
I can't find it online, but Wheeling Island Casino has a new commercial that is totally wtf. 2 guys are standing in a parking lot, and one sees a yellow light, that moves with the other guy. Guy B, turns towards the camera and bends over, with a glowing yellow light in the middle of his ass. Guy A then says "There's something glowing in your bumbum" and narrator takes over "Everything is lighting up at Wheeling Island Casino and racetrack yada yada blah"

Oh, they are fun music, but that vocal style is always a bit cheesy. And the band has come forward and said they didn't think the song could be made sexier, but then Taylor swift lip synced it... So they approve.

No-sir-ee. The Darkness isn't a gimmicky band at all...
(FYI, I say that as someone who enjoys their over-the-top ridiculousness.)
You know who myself and most of the population have NEVER heard of? Darkness.
You know who billions of people have heard of and bought albums of? Taylor berkeleying Swift.
I just listened to a couple of their songs. I hope they go back in to obscurity.

you didn't see them in the commercial... it was just the kickass guitar and screaming vocals with the annoying blonde twig dancing like a special person to it..

No, now they are a has been. They were a gimmick 10 years ago.
did the singer of the darkness wear a meat suit for something? I remember hearing something about it in a Dropkick Murphys song.

You know what's completely subjective? Music.
And their 2016 USSA tour just ended yesterday?
ok, I'll stop going down this rabbit (or bear) hole now.

I don't want one but know eventually she'll get tired of my crap and leave.
