Muscle weighs more than fat.

On the flip side, I've dropped as much as 30 lbs in a month, in a perfectly healthy way. Of course, when you're past the 4 bill mark, early weight loss happens really quickly. As I used to tell people... the first hundred wasn't all that tough... but the second hundred is a bitch. BTW, do keep paying attention to it. If it doesn't stabilize, get vigilant.
I am currently at 227lbs this morning. Last time I weighed was in the morning and I was 208lbs. I am going to be very careful about what I eat and drink and increase my workout a little. If I keep gaining weigh during this next week I am going to the doctor. I can see gaining ~5lbs a week.

I always gain weigh when I am stressed. During the final two weeks of a semester, I used to gain 10-15lbs.

Times eleventy. "Thyroid problem" comes to mind. Even at 'close to a month,' that's a lot of weight in a short timespan.
It can't be muscle mass. A person can only pack on about 1/2 lbs of muscle per week under optimal conditions.
The cause of weight change can be from a variety of things. Are you measuring yourself on the same scale? Did you weigh yourself initially when you were dehydrated, and recently weigh yourself again after consuming items with a high sodium content (soda, chips, TV dinners, etc.)?
I think my basic plan is going to watch my weight and be more careful about what I eat for the next week if I keep gaining weight are a large rate I am going to go to the doctor. If not I am going to think, I just really haven't really been watching what I eat. Other then this weight gain, I feel pretty good.

Like something i can eat in one sitting.
OP, did you make sure the scale you weighed yourself on was in exactly the same place both times?
I can make my weight "fluctuate" by 10lbs just depending on where it is and how it sits. (The scale, that is)
In reply to 92CelicaHalfTrac:
I weighed on a different scale in a different place and it was close (a couple pounds lighter).
