Dana's always een a big breakfast smoothie person in the morning. Doesn't want to stand in front of a room a angry kids with a McMuffin heading for the starfish at warp 6, if you get my drift.
So first we had a Magic Bullet, and it was okay, but not real durable. Now we have a ninja-themed drink blender that works on a whole other level. Occasionally I conscript it to make me something healthy. Like this this I just made: Start our with Almond milk to about half full. Add natural peanut butter and frozen bananas. Honey and cinnamon to taste (or just use a lot so it tastes good), and one scoop of plant protein. Top it off to a little above the safety line with Kahlua (or Kamora if you're a cheap bastard. Blend, and enjoy your health.
Would probably work with any cream-based liquer, but Kahlua suits it sooo perfectly.

We sold those at Sam's. I said aloud, " Holy E36 M3! Ninjas now come in boxes!"

I had to stop and deconstruct that sentence piece by piece. Now that I do get his drift, it's hilarious

How do you keep it down to 1200 calories?!?!?
Ya know, we got one of those for our wedding last year, I dont think we've used it just yet. That concoction sounds really tasty.

+1
My co-workers think I'm crazy.
I got tired of the wimpy pieces, and picked up a Hamilton Beach commercial model blender. Crazy fast, but a bit loud. Certainly don't use it before everyone is awake in the house.
i believe in tasting the health, that is why i had a turkey sandwich and a dr pepper for breakfast.

Oh yeah, I'm a smoothie believer. I buy bananas, strawberries, blueberries, whenever they're on sale and keep them in the freezer. Absolutely great in the blender with soy protein, a bit of juice and a few ice cubes to make it thick and creamy. A couple of those a day and I see a big difference in stamina when working out hard.
The actual Ninja is actually quite the kick-ass kitchen gadget.
SWMBO makes a soy milk, chocolate, Adam's peanut butter, and banana smoothie (with flax seed) that's ridiculously good.
Trying to be more healthy as well, so have started having smoothies in the morning as well.
This morning was almond milk, banana, frozen peach slices and a touch of agave nectar. Almost like getting to have a milkshake for breakfast.
I used to blend strawberries, bananas, oj and tofu... good stuff!

Jesus, you could have skipped right to the point and just snorted some sugar cubes!

That was my breakfast this morning. That and a bacon grease IV drip.
We just picked up this Cuisinart smoothie maker:
I wanna say it was $80 or so-ish back on one of the holiday super dooper online sale days. It does a GREAT job, plus, you blend in the cup you use, so its convenient - whip it up and go.
We buy some frozen fruit - mangos and Pineapple mostly, fill 2/3 of the blending cup with the frozen fruit, toss in some low fat strawberry yogurt, a scoop of sugar free cool-whip, and about 3 oz of water, and blend for about 30 seconds - Yogurt protein fills ya up, fruit is good for you, cool whip makes it a little sweeter.
budget tip for you: go to your local fruit market and ask for the bruised / over-ripe bananas. peel them, wrap them in the sticky saran wrap, throw a bunch into a big ziploc, and chuck it in the freezer. smoooshy bruised bananas suck to eat at room temperature, but they're great for smoothies. i think we pay ten cents a pound for bananas this way.

I can't have one of those. I'd be E36 M3faced by 10am every day.
My girlfriend's recent smoothie-improvement discovery: avocado gives them a great addition to texture and richness. Yeah, it adds fat, but it's not evil fat...
