reply to mndsm: They are SUPER cool! My family has about 25 steam engines, of which a dozen or so currently operate. The others are future projects or parts engines. Unfortunately I don't have a link to any one site that hosts pics of all the engines, or I'd put that up.
The calliope in these pictures was built by my grandfather in the 1950's. He took the organ off an Ohio River Steamboat that was being scrapped, and fabbed a compressor by hooking a Waukesha engine to a Roots blower off a Jimmy Diesel.
Here I found a picture of the third road locomotive-with a Frick boiler. It has boiler issues, and has been parked in a barn since 1993 or so. My cousin who owns it is restoring his father's (my great-uncle's) engine, which is the oldest pic above. I'm sure he'll eventually get to his Frick.
