Really sucks to have your wheels fall off like that. Dangerous too. How did that happen?
Could anyone possibly guess how that could have happened? yeah, me neither. A real mystery we have here. People like this should not be allowed to drive. you put that crap on the road next to my family, I don't want you in this world.
"No low ballers! I know what I've got!"
came in expecting link to MonZora spark plugs, or maybe Odyssey sliding door latch.
leaving happy.
To be fair, I once lost a wheel. I had a spare tire, but not spare lug nuts. So I took one lug nut from each of the three remaining wheels to put the spare on to drive home.
That could explain why the other wheels only have 3 right now.
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
Its not. borken studs, not just missing lug nuts. Also this.

This is simply not true! I've had many people here argue with me that people are smarter today. You just know about all the less than smart ones due to technology.
Now you are trolling the guy?
In reply to Racebrick :
In this case there is a bit of tongue in cheek, yes. I fear the future that is being left for younger generations.
Driving around with only 3 of the fanciest ARP studs in the world where 4 should be used would still be a pretty terrible idea, and I don't think those are ARP studs...I had studs fail but they were 4 brand new freshly installed ones, luckily I was alone on track at the time:
I love that "two studs broke" "there is one stud left"
So he was already driving his 4-lug car with 3.
The Earth deserves better.
We're ignoring the simple fact that four lugs aren't enough, and no car should be allowed on the road without at least 5 lugs.

Smart Car, (edit, not geo Metro, itxs in the four lug category), LeCar, citroen 2CV and derivatives: 3 lugs from factory
Classic Minis, civics, older Corollas, all manner of older European performance and family cars: four lugs from factory.
How much torque does it take to get 3340lbs down the quarter in 7.87?

Just because you can, doesnt mean you should.

If we lived by that motto, 2/3rds of this site wouldn't exist.
Four lugs are fine for lighter and lower-powered cars, S2 Elises are also four lugs. A Samurai's rear wheels are held on through the brake drum with four lugs. I think all the pure-sport side-by-sides are four lugs.

As others have said, 4 lug wheels are perfectly fine for a lighter vehicle. Even if you lose one, the line between the adjacent lugs still passes through the centerline of the axle.
But 3 lug wheels are not cool. Lose one and the line between the remaining 2, which defines the plane of attachment, falls outside the center line of the axle. This puts much more stress on the wheel and the remaining lugs.

where was this awful autox at?

Vaucluse Raceway in Barbados. A rallycross-oriented track intended to feel like the local roads, mission accomplished...
I will shamefully admit to running the last hour on day one of a Lemons race with three lugs on the back of a Mustang. Very conscious of any slight vibration. "Sadly I died...But I LIVED". Buck, Ice Age
Don't show them center locks. Somebody's brain might melt.
