Dave, sure. But Hootie? It is the quintessential non-offensive white person music. It may lift some people, but it has never grated anything. I don't even like them, but I sure can't agree with "grating on the soul"

Holiday music exclusively sung by Burl Ives

FTFY

I'd stab an ice pick in my ear, if you played Burl Ives.

Great. Just berking great. Now I have Holly Jolly Christmas stuck in my head. I'm going to have to put Mariah Carey All I Want... on repeat for the rest of the day, to force it out.

Ah. How could I forget you graced us with your presence! So humble of you to come down off your cloud and meander with us mortals.

I work with uptight hipsters that listen to E36 M3ty music all day. I'm constantly inundated with "music you've never heard of". The water cooler talk is about How they went to some obscure band that the other one hasnt heard of. These types can't stand mainstream music, much less the terrible mainstream music of the 90's. They hate my music and have banded together so that I can't listen to stuff like old Metallica or the Ramones at work because they find my music "threatening". I'm just giving them what they deserve for being tools that follow fads.

Is this an office setting? I've worked in many different places, never had an office that played music. Nor did the few manufacturing places I worked have guys playing music on the floor, most of the time it would be too loud to hear unless it was a live Metallica show.

Bohemien Rhapsody.

Call me unAmerican or a nerd, but Queen put out some good stuff and they play this no less than twice a day!

Actually, I work in the warehouse and shop, which happens to be located right next to the office drones workspace. These people complain about everything that makes noise including a forklift that hast to run. They have complained so much that we have to warn them anytime we are going to operate the Heister or the forklift because the safety sound that it makes disturbs their work environment apparently. As I have said before, I don't think you guys really understand how ridiculous the company is that I work for. They cater to these weak shiny happy people and make my work load difficult to accomplish that.

You really want to drive people insane? Just get your hands on all of the variations of the 1-877-KARS4KIDS commercials and play them in a loop. That's KARS with a K!

Your sound system will be reduced to a smoldering pile in about 4 minutes by your guests.

The problem is for me, it's all the same sound. Like, Darius Rucker is an awesome guy. But I gotta be honest, ultra white people music kills me. And hootie is like, the grand poobah.

Ok, that's next level evil right there.

I'd also jump off the trend of trying to get intentionally obnoxious music, and go for something more subtle. See if you can out-never-heard-of-them the hipsters, preferably with various shades of metal and rap: Stratovarius, Treacherous Three, Dream Theatre, Sabaton...

Or go for Psycho Stick's "Beer", but they might enjoy that.

I have found just playing my top tracks on Spotify list on random makes people's heads explode cause it jumps all over the place like one second it is grime then some old school punk then reggae then bluegrass then rap then jazz. So just make something that jumps all over the place like a drunk in a rave.
