I go back 305 pages.. plus all the ones lost to the old board since 2008.  I'd rather not go back there. lots of political stuff. not my best hour.

So I frequently use the Your Posts shortcut to navigate the forum.  I generally only use the first 3-4 pages but there are MANY more.  Today I noticed that I have 85 pages, and the way the software filters it, it shows pages 1, 2, 3, ... 85.  So I clicked on page 85 and opened up my oldest Necrothread.  From 12 years ago.

Apparently back 12 years ago there was a bit of a gas crisis and Geo Metro's where selling for up to $8,000.

What is your oldest Necro Thread?  Any interesting gems from the wayback machine?

My oldest is in answer to a question about gaining a little more clamping force on a clutch. I think the oldest one I started was also Metro related .

Those boom days fo the Metro turned out to be a crazy time for me. I'd been selling a fair bit of performance stuff for them, but as gas got expensive and the car, which you couldn't previously give away in the states, became popular, I developed an economy cam and cylinder head package. It was so popular I had to hire a guy just to keep up, who turned out to be really smart and built a 75 MPG Metro and developed a few of the parts I'm still selling today.

373 pages of my dribble...

With the oldest "necro-thread" being from Dec 2007 about classic Minis.  Which was some 5 1/2 years before I bought one.

As the owner of a 3-cyl. 5-speed ex-Challenger car '99 Metro, you have my attention.

Oldest one I started was this one:  Am I a wanker if I leave an autocross after running and working?  97 pages and 9 years, 8 months ago.

Duke politely told me that was wankerly (or, maybe he just said he always stays).
