The time has come to move on to other projects - after 6 1/2 years its time for a new owner to enjoy the car as much as I have.
Construction of this Lotus 7 inspired car began in January of 2008 and the car was titled and registered in PA in December of 2010. Since that time it has accumulated about 5,000 miles. The cage was added in 2012 along with some other upgrades (MS3X w/ ITBs).
The car is 2.0L Duratec powered with a NC Miata 5 speed transmission, flywheel, and clutch. Sequential fuel and ignition are controlled by a standalone Megasquirt 3 ECU. A late 80s RX7 differential housing with a Type-II Torsen differential from a NB Miata transfers power to the wheels. The street wheels are 15x6.5 Konig Feathers with Dunlop ZII tires. Gaz coil over shocks control all four corners.
The compete build log can be viewed here.
The car is located about 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, PA near Pittsburgh International Airport. Asking price is $15,000.
Included in this price is:
-the Locost
-a set of Spinwerkes 15x10 wheels with Formula Atlantic front slicks (the set of wheels was $1200)
-a pair of Schroth 4 point ASM harnesses originally installed on the car (I recall paying about $300/harness)
-a set of spare rotors and pads
-some miscellaneous Focus/Duratec parts I gathered during the Megasquirt install (wiring, fuel rails, injectors, etc)
-an open Miata differential and 1.8L Miata housing (disassembled)
-spare set of halfshafts
-a spare pair of rear springs
