Can i interest anyone in a LSJ motor and trans complete with the blower and all accessories. Will also come with the engine harness and ecu. From a 06 Cobalt ss. Head supposedly has been ported but can't confirm. Was also told the trans has 30k miles from an ion redline, also cant confirm. Just passing info i was told. Has a zzp pulley and header. As well as an intake.
Motor ran when pulled. The car it came out if was wrecked and during the wreck the passenger cv shaft came apart and put a hole in the timing cover. It did take a small chunk of the block side too. Its repairable with a new cover and a little tig welding on the block.
$500 picked up in orlando florida near ucf.
Meant to say LSJ not LS6 lol
Dang! Interested... Can you get a pic of the damage?

Just sent you a message.
Did it sell? My son has an '06 Cobalt SS that may need a transmission soon
In reply to SKJSS (formerly Klayfish) :
It is still available
Bump. Not a bad deal for a drivetrain that runs with an engine harness and ecu that is already tuned!

This will help inform a potential buyer
To be fair, he did contact me and text me some pics separately, just never followed up in the thread.
I'd be all over this if it weren't 16hrs away, and still want it regardless.
Hey Shibby is this still for sale? Do you know how many miles it has on it?
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
Good to know. I don't think I'm going to be a buyer for this one, but I'm curious to see the extent of the damage and depth of the repair needed.
Here is a photo from a distance shpwing the entire serpentine belt. You cam see the hole on the timing cover to the left over the broken cv axle.
Here it is up close.

Still for sale. I.believe the car had close to 200k on it. I do not know if the engine was original. I was told the head had work done and the trans had 30k miles. I have no way of proving that, its just what i was told. Plus side is, all of the ecotec motors share the same bellhousing pattern. So a 5 speed rwd trans from a solstice is a great way for a rwd conversion... lol
