Pictures here. The armrest fabric is a little loose and the shift pattern plate is worn, but otherwise it's in good shape. The retaining tabs for the shift boot are all there on the underside.
I think this is for '85 and '86, but might be mistaken. I don't actually have an MR2 anymore. On the later LHD models they moved the handbrake to the right side of the shifter.

That's 84-86. 87 and up they moved it to the right side, to add driver leg room from what I've read.

Nicole, if you end up replacing the armrest material I'm really happy with my leather replacement from redlinegoods.com. For a part of the car that I come in contact with every time it's driven it was worth it. So much better than the stock 36 year old vinyl.
