I paid $100 for a set of 15" Borbet Type T with tires (worn but at least rollers). $500 is a little steep.

I uploaded a whole bunch at once and only one showed up. I put some more up there
I do like the dish on those. However, has anyone tried to remove the remains of a tire when they are sliced off like that? Seems like it would make removing the bead without damaging the rim that much more difficult. Maybe its not too bad?
A lot of people have commented about the cut tires. I needed to move them and I couldn't get them to fit in the car I was using so I was left to cut off the tires to get it home with me
How was it getting the beads off? Regular bead breaker to unseat the bead, and then did you have to cut the bead, or was it relatively easy to push the 'doughnuts' off the wheel?
I'm curious because I have some REALLY old junk tires that need to be removed and they are so stiff that I'm struggling. I'm now thinking this might actually be a good way to do it.
Used windex and a HF manual tire changer. Got the paddle right on the edge, steadied it with my boot pushed down and sprayed windex. Then reset the paddle and the hoop fell down.
after that it was a cutoff wheel to finish it off. A big set of bolt cutters would work too but those were at work.
not too bad to do
Saw you went to $200 on FB, I'll take them. Going to Youngstown next week should be able to meet up at some point in the evening?
