Unless I get scooped I am buying two R16L's for parts.
I want the engines and at least one trans.
S1 Europa owners want the door latches.
I have no use for the rest, worth my time to take apart or just scrap them?

Cool and quirky looking little car. Never saw one or took notice before. I always wanted to find something small, older, unique and obscure like this to daily back and forth to the shop(8 miles/22 minutes). Some day.......
In reply to RichardSIA :
If there are good parts on them I'd think someone would be interested in them.
I think the gearboxs , shifter and starters are worth saving ,
I will ask my buddy if he needs anything for his Caravelle race car.
A Caravelle race car?!
Now that HAS to be a one of a kind.
Had a Caravelle back in the mid-eighties, put a lot of upgrades into it from R8/R10.
Pleasant to drive but not real sporty, great cruiser and I would not mind having it back.
They come up for sale surprisingly often, usually in bad condition and way overpriced.
Paid for the R16's today.
Was going to bring one home but my loading ramp broke so I have to find a trailer and go back.
At least now I know exactly what I bought.
One already has the engine and trans removed which is the good news.
The bad news is that the block has a big hole in it.
At least the transmission has the speedometer drive still in it.
That car is now available for sale, pretty much strait body and good glass, bill of sale, $200.00
The other will be available after I remove the engine and trans.
If you can find a rusted Fuego Turbo donor you get a five speed, cross-flow head, and TURBO to make a nice sleeper.
Priced for quick sale to get them out of my yard ASAP, $100.00 each.
No engines, no transmissions, no titles, otherwise very complete.
Prefer to sell whole as feeBay has become a greedy pain to deal with.
Looking around the web no one has parts for these, if anyone actually wants to keep one on the road the I am now the king of parts.
Might be able to engine swap them?
Remember, front wheel drive and the engine sits Behind the transmission.
$100.00 CASH for both.
Last try before they go to the crusher.
Worth more than that as scrap.
No engines, no transmissions.
Want them out of my yard.
I've searched the 'web, these parts are very hard to find.
Rust free body panels and good windshield have to be worth much more than my price.
I see poor fitting fiberglass fenders at $500!
