I'm still looking, I found a reasonable buildable core in kentucky, but not the best I've seen.

What does an 05 Tahoe have in it? There's one for sale near me with a straight body and not title that has a good running 5.3 and a rebuilt trans in it. Runs and drives for $1000

Time is not on my side so I ended up finding a too expensive but warrantied/running wrecker engine!
