I'm looking for an aluminum (not interested in steel) bell housing to mate a small block Ford to a T56.
I know these exist--they were in the Ford Racing catalog once upon a time--but they're definitely not common.
If you have one you're willing to sell, please let me know.
Did they make a steel bell housing for any T56? I'd be interested in a cheap ford pattern even in steel, but I don't know if there is such a thing as a cheep T56 bell!

Quick Time makes steel SFI bell housings for the SBF and T56, but they're definitely not cheap.

The way they are welded up, and the way the trans face is so segmented, means every one I have seen needed to be machined flat and parallel before use.
Just fair warning, I would not expect any steel bell for a T56 to be plug and play.
