Anyone out there have some leftover pieces to make a Ford Mustang motor go faster? I have a bone stock 1988 motor in the Zoomboni and would like to improve it in a GRM sort of way.
Cam, aluminum heads, ECU, what do you have and would you like to see it live on in the silliest car at most any event?

Thanks!
Anything?
Maybe a link to a solid marketplace ad that you feel good about?

I keep wavering on wether or not Im going to use this 5.0 in my 49 Ford or not. If I go the or not route then I've got a few good bits I've collected but as I havent found a suitable replacement yet the decision is pending indefinitely. I'll bear you in mind should I find a different candidate drivetrain.
It's been a bit, anything out there?
They just don't exist like they did 10yrs ago...

Not as prevalent in the mainstream but there are still plenty of forums and FB groups out there for them. Its where I've been finding my parts. Still not as cheap as just jamming an LSx in there but kinda a fun adventure. So far Ive managed to get my hands on Holly Systemax aluminum heads, an edlebrock intake, bbs 70mm TB, with 30lb injectors and matched MAF for under $1000. Recently scored a ProM FI system for about half of retal (still not cheap). I really have no love for the platform but its the motor that came with my project so I kinda made it a challenge to myself to see what I could get out of it.
In reply to JThw8 :
I never left those forums and groups... but I can get 2.3 parts easier than 302/351 parts.
I have a set of what I believe to be SBF headers I got for free from DusterB. They are gathering dust in my shed.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
Thank you! Unfortunately due to packaging I already have shorty headers (reversed) on the motor and it wouldn't really fit most any other design.
In reply to Greg Voth :
I'd be interested in that, especially if it's a 94-95 upper.
I have a complete 5.0 HO out of a '93 Thunderbird that's surplus to my needs. I'd planned to use it in my Torino, but I'd rather have a 351W (still looking). Depending on the flavor of your '88 a stock HO might be an upgrade.
Alan has a metric berkload of small block Ford drag racing stuff...
Splayed valve SBF heads?
