I really dislike the aftermarket seats I put in the Healey (Corbeau Classic). They look the part and physically fit but they're uncomfortable and make my sit way too high in the car. I'm 5'8" with a 32 inch waist and am too big to sit down "in" the seat and am up so high that my shoulders are above the body line of the car.
The stock seat bottoms were totally rotted out, the rails were trash and at that point there didn't seem to be a reason to hold onto the seat backs. Buying everything new from Moss or the like is just ridiculous.
Does anyone happen to have a set of big Healey seats laying around? Even if the upholstery/foam is shot, as long as the metal exists, I'd be game for that.
I'm tempted to get a set of Kirkey low-back seats with the black covers. At most, I'm in the car an hour at a time so I'm not too concerned about how uncomfortable they'd be.
These don't look horrible but for that cost I'd want something that is definitely going to be nice and work.

Did you toss the bits that you had for the original seats?
The bottoms are actually not that hard to make from scratch if you have the original to make a pattern from. I had to do that for the bugeye.
Ron Covel has a lot of videos on how to make your own custom bomber seats. Or just do what we all do and install Miata seats.

Everything from the old seats is long gone.
I thought about keeping the seats I took out of Sven (Miata) but I really want low-back. Not sure I want yet another project on my plate in making new seats.
Probably not what your looking for, but I have a pair of fox-body mustang seats that I'd give to ya for free.

Yeah, I know they are not the most common version.
I found some OEM Healey metal pieces. No foam, no sliders, just the backs and bottoms. They want $800! No thanks.

No idea, but along a similar price vein that you could get information on pretty easily, plus the ability to spend more for leather rather than vinyl.
