I need to update my build thread, but I've hit a bit of a roadblock in my Locost build. I need to clock the compressor and turbine housings in my WRX TD04 to fit my homebrew setup on a Miata engine, but there's no good way to mount the wastegate actuator.  Ideally I'm looking for something of a similar size, a GT2560 would be fantastic, but that's also the better part of $1k new.

Anyone have an old SR20 turbo lying around? Something similar?  A non-garbage knockoff is also interesting.... I don't know how to discern a functional vs useless eBay turbo, so I'm a little gunshy about gambling on new one.

Alternatively, I could weld some bungs onto my TD04, but I'm weighing my options at the moment.

It's a bad picture, but you can see the donut bracket I started building to move the wastegate actuator mount 180 deg offset from it's oem location.

I have a turbo from a 1.8 Miata in good shape that is not mine, but likely for sale.  Want me to ask owner (he parts out Miatas to support his track habit, he will sell) and a pic or numbers from turbo?

those EBay turbo's are good  enough to  use and cheap enough to replace if you've troubles with it

If you're a professional racer running endurance events, no spend the big bucks.

There are a couple of UTube video's on what to check on them to ensure there won't be a problem.
