Finally time for another update!
The shelves that came with the house are no longer working for the amount of stuff I have to hold so I picked up a metal cabinet from harbor freight to store chemicals in. It's already a huge improvement.
I love this kind of stuff, seeing other people's garages is so fun to me. I'm also working in my first garage, and the time has come to build myself a workbench. Garage upgrades are some of the most rewarding upgrades, and they're such individual spaces that any glimpse into someone else's feels very special.
Update time. This past weekend I got to work on fixing my organizing issues.
While I had some shelves they were not nearly big enough and the cabinets on the walls were too small and falling apart so time to replace it all.
With the old stuff removed I was able to clean and move in the new metal shelves I got.
And after a days work I got most everything off the floor and once I get more parts on the Beetle I'll get more shelf space back.
plus now I am actually able to plug in and use my air compressor.
next up is finding a solution for bike storage.
For bike storage, I'm a big fan of hanging them vertically on the wall. Lowes has big hooks that are perfect for it--screw a 2x4 across a few studs so you can put hooks at the right spacing for however many bikes you have.
