Is that ring and pinion junk?
I think its supposed to be smooth.. this one have deep scratches.. on the edge, but the pinion looks fine. Maybe i need to set back lash and gear engagement?
And there was really old oil in it, looks like grease or gunk.. i bet that 94-95 still had the original oil..
Clean it all up. Then put the telltale pattern marking Grease on it and spin it to see what the pattern looks like. As far as I know, that's the best way to tell.
Was it making any noise?
Ive raced with way worse.
Looks like it may have been a little on the dry side but not toast.
I just got it, so i dont know if its making noise...
Any recommendation on what pattern stuff thing to get?
