So after a significant hiatus I tried PC2 again, that game is unplayable. The servers are bare and the ones that exist have all sorts of hackers with people running like 10s lap times at Laguna. AC has its warts but with you guys its great.
Yeah, like I mentioned previously, the only time we really had good luck with random online racers was right before the GT6 (?) servers shut down. The only people left online were rather serious. Didn't last long though.
BTW Sauce, in watching the Spec Piñata replay, Darwin seemed to be doing a good job of not being run down by you.... are you slipping? (or just drunk)
For reference, Sauce has been generally kicking our butts for a long time.
I may have a conflict tomorrow night. I can set the server to a practice race format and you all can have at it or we could postpone till Thursday. Or do both. Up to you all.
I am scheduled to do an IR scan but weather may make it not happen. I will know more mid afternoon tomorrow.
And ya Sauce has an affinity for sim racing. We need Spool back.

Darwin is definitely quick and he adapted to it faster, as evidenced by my turning in too early at South Bend and going for quite a ride. I ran a few laps on the server a couple days ago and he also had a time at VIR full in the Spec Piñata, and I want to say our times were within a few tenths. I definitely left time on the table but I doubt he was in time trial mode when setting his laps either.

So what you are saying nicely is Air and I are going to have to up our game.

So... you didn't like the trucks? Or did they not work on the server?
Did I forget to mention 1st and 2nd gear are effectively useless? I can pretty easily re-gear these things.
I put the Austin Mini Cooper S FIA App.K Historic Racing car in the current folder. That might be a good match with the cars you have in there:

The camera positions on them are crazy. And yeah they pretty much only use 2 gears. They are really, really hard to drive. Also you need to use your full steering wheel travel to actually get them to turn.

The Ligier is in the current folder, with some special additions to the liveries...
Of note: there looks to be miniature versions of tracks out there for these cars, that would work for either of the above. I know there is a Spa Petitchamps and a Mini Monaco, not sure what others are out there.
Tonight should be fun there is an interesting mix on the server at the moment and we can try other stuff as well.
