I think I got it up and running. I can see it on my end but I need some one outside my network to see if they can see it.

The actual server software is extremely low overhead it is the numbers of users that sucks up ram. You need on average 1gb of ram per user. this includes the server overhead. I have been running on a 16gb machine with out issue. If I remember Pro has about the same machine I have so it should not be an issue. I run the server on the same machien I play the game on
Looks like the server is up. Bill is on it as I type this. I am not sure of the band width but it looks like we are good to go tonight
I do have one issue when I start the game it crashes my computer hard. I am not sure why this is. I have tried launching the game three ways and it crashes when I try to join the server. Don't know why. I may try reinstalling the game but that can wait until I get home for now the server is back up. I put the mini's back up and kept the same track. If people want somthing different let me know
I think what I am going to do for the future is take my other computer I built as a server and get that up and running and then give a couple people remote access to it. There is a way to do this in the server setup. I just have not messed with it.
I can see the server. Of note is that it will not show up in the Favorite List if you favorited it. It does show in the main Kunos list though, with an IP of: 137.103.98.160:8081
Even if we stay at that track the whole time, it is a good track to get used to that handling of the car, and we can spend some time figuring out what tuning setup works for everyone.
We are usually on from around 8:30/9 to 11:30 eastern. Racing generally starts around 9:15-9:30 depending on how difficult to learn the car/track combo is.
The length of the races themselves is usually only ~10 mins. Simetimes 30 seconds in the case of a turn one disaster that requires a restart lol.
Yeah. We ran on your server for a few mini races. Then I setup one. There was about 10 mins of teething pain getting the settings right, but after that it was all good.
Just 4 of us though.
That is cool!!! We can now have multiple GRM servers up. This could make swapping back and forth really easy/simple. While racing on one the other can be configured.
True. FYI, the CM interface for the server manager is much nicer. Super fast to make changes and start/stop.
I was also able to lock the weather and time of day, so should eliminate the crazy orange sunsets.

Poorly?
Sauce annihilated us. I think I was still a solid 2 seconds off the pace. I need a lot of practice at Brands Hatch, but would definitely like to race there some more.
Yeah, we needed more people and maybe a track change for the Mini's. They might be interesting in the parking structure(!). We could try some different tracks (e.g. VIR, MId Ohio, or some of the small English tracks).
I do have a very entertaining car we can try at some point. A very dynamic car, but not as hard to drive as you might suspect.
I also have something I want to try that I am referring to as the "Dean's high school" racing series. I need to make a few mods first....
The Mini is fun once you get the hang of it, but I think I may have taken to it a bit more readily than others and likely have a lot more seat time at Brands as well. The parking garage race was hilarious, especially Air following me as I spun off course thinking I knew where I was going. Two wide through the slalom was also entertaining.
We can just go with the Mini at this point. I will put the Mini (it's a custom car) and a few tracks up in the current folder. Just download and drag into CM.
Keep an eye on this thread in case anyone has any changes we want to make. It's rather easy to download and install cars and tracks, so we will sometimes do that between races.
OK, I put the Mini and the Ligier (that weird box thing shown above) along with Mid Ohio, VIR and the kart track collection in the current folder (Brands Hatch is a built in track). https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vME9C0pSEoHrops3ol6xEer_0FAp-C54
A few questions:
- Are you setup on Discord? Do you have any setup questions / issues?
- What would you say your general sim skill level is? (so we don't jump into too challenging of cars until you are up to speed)
- What is a car you have owed that you would like to drive in the game (most somewhat sporty cars are available)?
In reply to aircooled :
Unsure if talking to me.
If so, yes I am on discord, yes I am Sim racing proficient, even at higher level cars. I did a lot on Iracing in the past year, and I've been a Gran Turismo fanatic since the beginning. That being said, I am generally a midfielder when up against similar level players.
I own a Miata in real life. And I don't have all the download of cars for Corsa, But I do have most of the packs. I pretty much am lacking the Porsche packs
Sauce I want to have a go racing you at Brands hatch. I really like that track and that car at that track. I might be able to give you a run for your money.
In reply to dean1484 :
I'm game, and it seems like in general people are fine with running Brands some more.

Now is a good time to fix that for a few bucks: https://store.steampowered.com/app/244210/Assetto_Corsa/
