Yeah Griffin and I had a good battle going on for over half the race, then he got up on two wheels, corrected, to get it back down and when he landed he shot off towards a tire wall. I finished in my usual 6th spot after that.

Deluxe here, we did have some good times dicing it up! Just wish I didn't miss quali due to internet issues which had me start in 11th and get rear ended hard on the pace lap. I couldn't pull anything faster than a 1:21.2. If anyone wants some good laughs you should watch the replay and see me get up on 2 wheels 4? times and bring it back down. Wow do I hate the curbing on that track!

1:21.2 was last week at Sebring Club. This week the fast times were around 1:27.0, I was somewhere around you in the mid 1:29's.

1:27.4 was the fastest clean lap at Cataunya National this week. 1:27.0 for a few dirty laps.

Y'know, I don't know what was wrong with me. I like the circuit, I was familiar with the car. I mean, I know I wasn't going to set the world on fire with it..but I really thought I'd get some points out of this one. I was cutting 32s (and a couple of dirty 31s), but just didn't have what it took to pass anyone that stayed clean. I guess all y'all that used to be slower than I am really aren't, anymore. IMO, that's actually a good thing. I need to get off my backside and tune.

I spend very little time tuning these cars. There's just so little to adjust. Learning the track is much more important than concentrating on what the car needs.

I can always out-brake people who are using ABS. It does seem though, that people who just mash the brake trigger down (with ABS) stop shorter than people who try to avoid lock-up (with ABS).

I have been trying to stop using abs. I can stop shorter and more controlled with out it but the bitch of it is the consistency. Getting caught up trying to pass someone and lock them up. Its fun as hell though haha

Just realized I going to completely miss the race at Silverstone.

I'll be there tonight but not until 8:30 or so. If you guys can wait to start the race until I get there that would be awesome. I'll start in the back.

Well, seeing as the race is at Hockenheim...

Well, unlike the last couple races, it is nice to finish up from where I qualified.

Had a good start, making it into first around the outside of one. Got roughed up a couple of times, the final time nearly sending me into the wall coming out of the right hander from the infield onto the top end of the drag strip on lap 10 or 11. Just a matter of hanging on after that.

Just show up with a legal car. It helps to have one of us on your friends list to make it easier to find the lobby. And being a member of the tgrm club doesn't hurt either.

Thanks for talking me through the lobby setup, guys! I never seem to be able to remember all the little settings for practice & quali. I'm actually feeling pretty good about this one. My best lap was still about 2sec slower than Griffin (my benchmark, since he's the only other Mazda 2), but that's closer than I've been at a couple of the other places!

Sure enough, I was right around Ft. Wayne, on the way home from Detroit. Now I wish I could've been on. I could've used 2nd or 3rd place points, assuming I didn't roll too.
