I broke down and bought it. It should be waiting on my doorstep when I return from vacation.
You guys are to blame.

short story time: Alright, so i completely maxed out a coquette. so nicely that i decided to take a picture! http://i.imgur.com/OEAIE82.jpg Anyways, i had just completed the game so i decided to go buy every article of clothing i could for franky. So i drove to the suburban clothing south of his house. while i was there, i came out, the car was gone. i was pissed, as i had just customized it and i loved it. So i said whatever, i can get another. I went to the suit place to the west, bought everything in the store (which took like 15 minutes), and walked out of the store. As i did and approached the car i took there, my coquette goes flying past me down the road. subsequently, i chased the person down, ripped her out of the car, beat her with a night stick, poured gasoline on her, threw 5 sticky bombs and parked my other car on her. The explosion afterwards made it all worth it.
so basically, if your car gets "bugged", just remember, you will find them, and you will kill them.
Also remember, you don't have to start every sentence with "so."

Bout to start my 2nd playthrough, want to redo all the assassination missions to get my money up.
So how exactly are you making a ton of money with the assassination missions? Are you buying the stock of the company you affected when it gets really low, or are you buying up the competition's and counting on it to spike soon?

Basically- i'm following Lester's lead. IE the last one I did, I bought up ALL the gold coast I could (something like 27mil a piece after the final mission) and then did the hit. Gold Coast spiked 80%, I sold. Made 20mil or so a toon. I intend on bankrolling that final 25mil as far as I can. I'll be speed running this playthrough to get the money up as quick as I can, then go back and do the side missions.
I got the helicopter from the military base to do the heist on the first try. It wasnt that bad.

Yeah, that was easy. Going back and trying to steal something else has been hard for me.

Turns out- I took the easy way on a lot of missions. I found myself at an impass last night- I'm redoing the first heist and decided to jack the cops for a truck full of guns... not easy. Granted I was a dope and went into it with Michael unarmed (I don't know why he doesn't have guns yet)..... but it's a change of pace from my normal routine.
My copy is sitting at my moms house in Austin (2.5 hrs from me) waiting on me. Supposed to be a Christmas present, but she said I can get it earlier. Just need to get down there or some awesome person to bring it to me.

Priority mail that E36 M3. Across town should take a day.

Btw, you have to down about 3-4 jumbo jets to get the stock price to drop......wait a day or two then hit the other company's jets. I made close to 20mil last night in about 2 hours.
Yep. When Psteve stole my keys because he wanted to steal my E36 M3 he was 2 hours away and it took a day.
F that. May just get the Madre to meet me half way or something. Been trying to bribe friends with beer and food to come for a visit, but to no avail. Sucks being in the middle of nowhere. Of course I also have a preggo wife on bedrest and I REALLY shouldn't be playing video games and rather taking care of the household stuff... Ugh, decisions decisions.

How did you down the jets?

steal that buzzard thats easy to get over on the right side of the map and switch to rockets......hang out at the end of the runway at LS airport and wait until you hear the missle lock buzz. Fire missles, LOL at the 3 stars you get as the 747 explodes onto the runway. I downed 3 jets before they finally sent a police chopper after me....and I downed a 4th right before kamakazi'ing the police chopper.

Decided to give the alternatives of missions a whirl on the 2nd playthough. Stealing the cargobob wasn't really that hard- I flat out gunned my way in- then used a military truck as a blockade from incoming soldiers til I got that pig off the ground.

X to fire guns, square to switch from guns to missiles.
I started to take advantage of the respawning $25,000 briefcase last night since with modding cars I was always going broke with my characters. (Google that if you want, there is a youtube video showing its location and how to quickly acquire money)
Racked up enough cash for Franklin to buy the LS Customs garage in sandy shores and at least he gets free mods there now.
I was wondering for a while if you could cross paths with your other characters in game, sure enough playing around last night I found Trevor while playing as Franklin. You have to switch back and forth between them to get them in the same place but they acknowledge eachother. Also this means I can use Franklin to customize all my cars and then meet up with the others and switch vehicles around and such.

The money thing is exactly why I started over. I'm speed running the main course (little over 20 missions to go- 11 hours on this run so far). I've done NONE of the side quests, no strangers, no random encounters... did flight school long enough to do the heist. I however, haven't spent a DIME on things like accidental death, extra clothes, properties, etc. I have ~1.5mil on Michael, and ~700k on Franklin and Trevor. The caveat is- all those assassinations that speed manipulate the market? I haven't touched them. You have to complete one to get Lester to move the story along, but there are 4 others where you get free market manipulation. I'm going to wait til after the big score (this truly is where the money rolls in... fun mission too!) and then do all the head hunting with Franklin. If my math serves me, I should clear 100+mil a toon. Then it's time to start dropping planes. Shouldn't take long to get a full property loadout with each toon at that rate .
