Our friends at HAWK Performance have entered into the sim / virtual racing arena :

PARK CITY, UTAH – With the popularity of virtual/sim racing, Hawk Performance decided that it was time to get involved and involved they are with integration into the Forza series today with the launch of the Hawk Performance Store.

The Hawk Performance store in Forza 4 allows players to download a number of the famous Hawk Performance race cars including the Corvettes; GT-R and the new Audi R8 of the CRP Racing team in the Pirelli World Challenge series. Players can also race the Chevrolet NASCAR Truck driven by Mike Skeen in 2013. Other cars include the Performance Autosport/RTR Mustang driven by Chris Cobetto in the NASA American Iron Series and the classic Chevy Camaro raced in the SVRA and HSR vintage racing series. In addition to the cars, special tunes are also included and while this is a robust release the crew at Hawk Performance will continue adding cars to their store. While this is all exciting, the most exciting part is that all of these cars are available for free to players of Forza 4.

To get your hands on Hawk Performance designs, logos and tunes, head over to the "Community: section at the main menu of Forza 4. Go to "Storefront", click on the item your looking for, "Buy Tuning Setups" / "Buy Designs" / "Buy Vinyl Groups" and so on. Scroll down to "Gamertag" and enter text search for: HawkPerformance A list of items will appear from Mr. Hawk, click on an item to view.
You then have a list of options, like "Buy" or "Go to Owner's Storefront", if you select "Buy", the item will be downloaded to your personal file to be used in game, as you wish. If you select "Go to Owner's Storefront", Mr. Hawk's personal Storefront will load with the collection of Hawk Performance car designs, logos and tunes, all with unlimited downloads and at no charge.

To use your recently downloaded Hawk design, select the car from your garage that coincides with the design you bought, go to the "Paint" section of your "Play Career" page, scroll down to "My Designs" and choose the design you want to add to your car. Now your ready to hit the circuit with a winning livery from Hawk Performance For additional information and to stay up to date on the Hawk Performance/CRP Racing team on track visit www.facebook.com/HawkPerformance

There are two versions each of these three cars, and one each of the truck(GMC Cyclone) and Camaro ('69 SS). But I didn't find the R8 on there.

The R8 was just launched at the St. Pete G.P. It could be that they haven't added it to Forza just yet.

Its the better game, actually has a complete car list for one, and a marketplace to do so.

Just because a game is on a newer system doesn't make it inherently better, esp when it was rushed and released before it was finished.

In reply to Flyin Mikey J:

Wait, we are talking about turn10 here aren't we? Its a great game for sure, but Turn10 cares about their user base about as little as Comcast/Rockstar/Polyphony does.

Funny part is I had just made Hawk Performance decals just a couple weeks before this announcement. Guess I should remove them from my Storefront.

You'll need to log in to post.
