PCars2 Series 4 discussion

Ok, let it begin...

We just had an open series, so I would want this to be a spec series. My choices:

• Ginetta Juniors (the closest thing to a non-drift Miata)
• Clio cup with tire wear off
• Formula C
• or wildcard F-150 trucks

I like the idea of a spec series for the next one. I'll try out a few cars.

I shall remain silent...

Formula C might be fun.

How about a spec series with the Ginetta GT5 car? 

Or maybe a Mustang-Camaro challenge series between the vintage cars. 

if it has wheels I will drive it. Was the clio cup car the little frount wheel drive car we tested with the Austrian v8 cars?

Yup, the Clios are the insane oversteering FWD cars.

Or, if you want to do a spec race, how about some sweet IROC action...

....and I don't mean no gold chain Camaros either.  I am talking OG IROC baby:

I don't seem to have that 911. I see two versions of 935's, but they seem a little hard to tame and a lot of turbo lag. 

If we do something slower than GT3 cars I think we need smaller tracks. Red Bull ring in the GT5 car is a snooze. Takes too long to get from corner to corner. 

LMP900. I drove the ferrari 333 SP and love it. I'd love a spec series with that car.

It’s a DLC car as part of the Porsche Pack. If you have the deluxe edition you’ll have to muddle around with PS Store to install it.

Yeah, I need to do that. At one point, I know I had the strange bike engined Honda car from the Japanese car pack, but now I don't have that either.

I think if you go down from the xmb you’ll see add-ons there and they’ll be to install. If you go to the store it wants to charge you. 

I really liked that Clio cup car. 

I second the 911 RSRs if we don't want to do 333 SPs.

I did a lap around RBR with the 911 and it seemed like it would be fun to have a pack of them.

One downside of the 911 RSR's though.... I think Argo would like them....

I did not check, but they do have different liveries, right?

Certainly something to test at least.

I have it. Brad has it. Air has it.

There are a good number of liveries. I already picked out my favorite based on it being the closest match the my current one.

So, if everyone has the DLC, it sounds like a car has been chosen.

Well, even if it has, we should at least play around with a few different cars, if nothing else, to be prepared for future seasons.

It's too bad that the Mustang and the Camaro aren't even close to competitive with each other.  All of us running the RSR against the full class of cars would be a challenge.

I have the RSR as well and rather like it, though IIRC tire temps can be an issue.

I'd like to do a test session with the Formula C, that's one that I haven't tried before.

I should have it. 

There's a yellow livery RSR so I am good.  There has been no discussion about the tracks for the series?  How about a mandatory pit stop and you must use each compound (soft, hard) of tires like F1?

Well... I guess we will have to run RallyX courses then, so we can switch to dirt tires...
