Bleh. Another night of endless fail teams. Win % now down in the mid 48's. Did finally get enough XP to up turret and upgun the T-37, only now it feels slow and "wallowy" (if that's a word). Handles like my Miata when the shocks were blown and it was riding on dry rotted, oversized all seasons.
Is there a book anywhere with the strengths/weaknesses of each tank and map layouts? Like a strategy guide of some sort?
Also, is it kosher for one person to have two active accounts? I know two people in one account is strictly prohibited but, I've seen no reference to one meat head with two accounts.
jed... the wiki is sorta inda like that http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/World_of_Tanks
as for multiple accounts... techinically it's against the rules... didn't stop me ;-) I played 200-300 battles playing very stupid, ended up with 50% crews and not enough silver to train them up... so I just started new and spent a good bit of time really learning the game in tier 1 then slowly moving up.

in that case goto the PDF guide... it's as much of a book format as you're going to find... lots of good stuff in it.
Thanks.
I keep switching my M4 Sherman from the 105 mm gun to the 76 mm then back again. I love the knockout power of the 105 but, I believe the rate of fire and noticably lighter weight of the 76 make it the better all-around gun. The 105 basically turns the Sherman into a slow-accelerating, very thin-skinned heavy.
The tank feels more nimble when it's 1,000 or so kilos lighter. :)
I think I'll stay at tier 5 with the M4 Sherman for a while. I still have a lot of improving to do.
I am looking forward to the M4A3E2, though...I've heard good things. 105 + thick armor. :)
I usually play the E2 with 76mm high velocity gun. It fires quickly (especially with a shell rammer), has decent long range accuracy and good penetration, at least at its tier. It also has pretty good depression.
Welp, got my first "rage stalker" today. Dude keeps sending me angry PM's because he didn't think he got enough arty support from me. Didn't realize WOT was such seeeriuz bizzness.
I've had several great battles in a row with the derp, now I'm loving that one again. lol
I've actually been hitting what I've been aiming at.
After playing nothing but American tanks for a while I hopped in my Russian tanks. It felt like I had hit the easy button.
I had 5 kills with the MS1 and was shocked when somebody shot at me when I was in that one and the others...sometimes the bullets bounced off.
This was kind of a new experience for me.
Holy moly!
Just had a 15-0 victory. I had 2 kills and inflicted quite a bit of damage. I was in my Russian T26, I think it was a tier 3 battle.
Downloaded World Of Battleships about 2 weeks ago-ish....thats good times. Played a bit of tanks last night......4 fail teams in a row, had about 3-4 kills per game and the team fell apart on me.
Free garage spot thanks to the weekend special. Probably a good thing, since I'm running out of space. I'm sort of the WOT version of a hoarder.
Just picked up one of these bad boys (not the model):
79 kph FTW!!!
I already used it on Karelia, along with two other speedy lights, to zip around the enemy and cap before they were able to react.
lol such a fun and yet frustrating tank... that is a perm tank in my garage.. tier3 battles and it's epic... tier4 and you have to pick your battles, tier5 and you don't pen much of anything even shooting prem (which costs a fortune because of the clip size)
my crew is up to 99% in camo on it... I own the tier6 scout in the line without a crew, I'm waiting for the pz1c to 6th so I can move the crew over.
while I don't reccomend new players going down scout lines I can say that the luch (tier4 right after the pz1c) is the best of the tier4 scouts
Oh man, I love that tank. I die in it . . . a lot, but never before a few glorious minutes of annoying the other team. I tend to jump in mine when I get frustrated and need to remind myself I started playing the game because it was supposed to be fun.
kazoospec is spot on... it's a tank to keep around for those days when matchmaking is pissing you off or you're having a bad day... with that being said I prefer to play my m22 locust (premium tank) over the pz1c most of the time if I'm going for a tier3 light tank... I can use one of my good scout crews and I find it to be an overall better tank although if it goes 1v1 vs a pz1c the pz1c usually wins.
I have no scouting aspirations, I bought it strictly for the lulz.
I'm more of a medium/heavy cqb kind of guy.
ya I stuck to heavy/med type play until I was about 5k battles in... scouts are already fragile, add that they are essentially a tier higher then labeled adds to the difficulty in playing them well (the tier5 chaffee gets the same matchmaking a tier6 medium would).
thanks to the move I haven't played but 1 night in the last week... I hope to get one tommorow for a bit to finish that 99% pz1c crew to 6th sense and grind out a few modules on few other tanks... we'll see if that happens... would be a shame to miss the x2 xp all day long though.
as for a clan... yes... I was 4 or 5k battles in, and just about to finish researching two tier6 tanks... the tier6 thing was important as the clan does strongholds and mostly tier6 (also have tier8 and 10), in the tier6 it's 6v6 (or is it 7v7?... don't recall lol) and the entire team is on teamspeak for calling plays... also makes finding people to platoon with much easier... and it's much easier to grind those sucky stock tanks when you win more battles... which happens more often when you platoon with decent players lol.
I don't really do clans, but Kazoo Jr. does. They end up spending most of their time doing trainings and "clan wars"/stronghold battles. I've never really looked into it enough to even figure out what that stuff is. I don't do headsets and such, and I really just prefer to play by myself. I don't even platoon unless I'm working on a career mission that requires it, even then I usually just platoon with Kazoo Jr. so we can just talk across the room. Just a preference, I guess.
