There is a bunch of stuff currently discounted on Xbox Live. Between the heavy discounts, a few of the free items on XBL, and a $25 XBL gift card from my brother in law, I have 5 new games (maybe some are not so NEW)
after much deliberation I went with

State of Decay - $7.99
Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising - $Free (Games with Gold section of XBL)
Dirt showdown is free at the moment for gold members.
I've been sleeping on all these free games so forgive me if I think this is awesome.
4 games a month now with gwg, due to the Xbox360 games being xb1 compatible. Its a good time to be alive.
XBL had Life is Strange on sale for $12 all in for episodes 1-5
Some tech site listed it in their top 5 games of 2015, so with with not much more than looking at a couple screenshots and the idea that this game might be good I picked it up.
Interesting game, kind of sucked me in for the weekend. I'm partially through episode 4 now. The "choice and consequence" type gameplay also has me wanting to play it again from the beginning, perhaps trying to make some really terrible choices instead.
